Yokohama Truck Tire Review
The Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire is a five star tire available for a price that practically anyone can tolerate. The Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire provides a great ride and superb handling at a price that is completely reasonable.
Pros: The ride quality is superb, there is a great amount of on-road traction and overall the price is not half bad either.
Cons: Although the Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire is designed for off-road action, the tire seemed to be lacking in capabilities here. This was mildly disappointing, but the tire is still a great tire nevertheless.
For the price that you can expect to pay for these tires, the price is great. We acquired these tires by doing our research first, and heard good things about the Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire as an on-road and off-road tire that was worth every penny and would provide a great driving experience. The general consensus for the Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire was that for the money these tires would be an excellent long lasting and stable. We only had to pay $300 for all four tires shipped, which was an awesome incentive and probably what convinced us to finally buy. It did not take much added weight in order to balance the Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tires on my truck, which I believe to be a sign of a good, quality tire. Cheaper tires tend to take more weight to balance them, because they are not consistently meeting the quality standards that better tires meet. The Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire also has a stiffer sidewall than many other tires, even tires created by Yokohama, which is a name that I regularly associate with quality. As a result of the stiffer sidewall, however, it was slightly harder to seat the Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire on the rims. I was initially afraid that this would mean a harsher ride, but my fears were laid to rest when we got driving! After 5000 miles, we are still more than thrilled with the ride that our Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tires are affording to us. We honestly could not ask for a better tire for the price we paid. We have explored many different types of terrain and conditions, including rain, pavement, gravel and snow and we have never had a problem handling our vehicle at any point. Water is easily channeled out and away from the tires by the two large grooves on the edges of the tires, and that really helps keep the ride smooth. We truly are impressed with our Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tires, and plan to continue purchasing Yokohama tires in the future for all of our vehicles!
