Michelin Truck Tire Review

Michelin is a very well known name in the tire industry, and is popular for providing tires for vehicles of all types, including off-road vehicles, family cars and semi rigs. Michelin has a few well known tire lines, including the Michelin 4x4 Diamaris, Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tire, Michelin Latitude Sport, Michelin Latitude Tour HP, Michelin LTX A/T2 and Michelin LTX M/S. All of Michelin's truck tires get the job done, never sacrificing performance or style in the process. These are high performance, safe tires that can be installed on a variety of different vehicles. This review, however, is based on the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV/Truck Tire.

On a scale of one to five, these tires deserve a five but only on the premise that you use them as directed. The handling and control that these tires offer rank at about a four out of five. The Michelin Cross Terrain Truck/SUV tire is a great highway tire as it offers truly responsive handling, but at a price that is no laughing matter. Although this tire has received negative reviews in the past from other sources, I have found that the negativity comes from the fact that many vehicle owners are not properly using these tires on their trucks and SUVs. Michelin makes great truck and SUV tires, and these Cross Terrain tires by Michelin are no exception. Although the Michelin Bridgestone HL tires have a higher rating than these Cross Terrain tires, I find the Cross Terrains to be a much preferable tire. There really is no comparison with this tire, it tops the charts and will be my preferred tire for a good long time. I quickly learned that mounting an aftermarket tire with a maximum PSI that is different from the original OEM tires can make the tire pressure amount for the vehicle a bit unreliable, but with a proper understanding and the right tire pressure, there is absolutely no reason that you cannot fix this for a truly enjoyable tire experience. These tires have a great wear rate if you have them inflated properly. If you want cupping, poor handling and premature wear; installing these tires without doing your research first will probably work for you. But if you want to reap the true benefits of these great tires, make sure you have your air pressure right, and get driving!

Michelin is well known for producing great tires that get the job done without ever compromising safety, performance or style. Their Cross Terrain Truck/SUV tires are no exception to this rule, providing a great level of performance for a tolerable price.
