Pros for the Goodyear Wrangler MTR Tire - The gripping ability provided by these tires makes them absolutely perfect to handling in off-road applications. These are actually quite excellent tires that Goodyear is offering, but as far as practical use goes they appear to be mildly limited. Most vehicles simply do not need a tire that is designed quite like this one is. The Goodyear Wrangler MTR is a large and tough truck tire that is designed to handle large vehicles, and the large loads that those vehicles tend to carry. These tires are sold mainly for light trucks and sport utility vehicles. These tires range from 235 to 315 mm from sideway to sidewall, and can be purchased as a 15-inch rim or a 16-inch rim, creating a diameter range that falls between 30 and 40 inches. The treads that are found on the Goodyear Wrangler MTR tire are irregular-shaped polygons that have eight sides. There are two separate tread rows running down the center of the tire, with another simpler row of treads running along the edges of the tire. The tire's lugs are all deep and spaced apart well in order to create additional traction, which is an improvement over most other tires. There are several different types of Goodyear Wrangler MTR tires that can be purchased, including a type with white outline lettering, and another with raised white lettering, which creates a look that is much more aggressive. These are aggressive tires, though, and the aggressive lettering works well with them. These tires are pricier than the average tire, ranging from $160 to $395 for a single tire. With prices as high as these, these tires are clearly not meant for everyone or for everyday driving for that matter.
